Acreland Medicinal Plants Cultivation
Medicinal Plants Cultivation : The company is cultivating Aloe vera, amla plants for the production of Aloe vera juice which will soon be available in the market, as part of the range of products offered by the company's retail wing.
Cultivation of medicinal plant is gaining ground because of the sky rocketing prices of allopathic medicines which also have side effects. Cultivation of medicinal plants is economically very attractive. Fertiliser use in aloe vera is low, but the profit is quite high which could be ploughed back to cultivate some other high value high fertiliser requiring crop which in future would help in fertiliser marketing. Fertiliser use by the farmer in case of drumstick is quite high. Some suggested lines of work for future is also mentioned.

Vishwanath decided to give multi-cropping a try, and he also figured out that he could increase his crop by building a wire fence and planting creepers and climbers on them. Vishwanath also installed a pipeline with his first-year profits to ensure sprinklers watered his plants. He has also picked up farming methods like raised-bed farming and mulching over the years, which has proved to be beneficial.
